Jenny Ricker for ehow.com 07/02/2011 by Mr. Sato
One of our favorite stylists, Jenny Ricker, was recently seen giving advice on summer wardrobe basics for men. She cordially tossed our name in the round up:
“Summer is no time to be ho-hum — bright and cheery is the way to go. A neck scarf, pocket square or tie is the perfect way to add a splash of color without looking like a character out of Rainbow Brite.
Ricker suggests pastel or bright-colored linen ties. Her favorites are from Gentry. “It is reminiscent of that preppy, East Coast vibe,” said Ricker. “All guys can wear them. And it’s a great way to add a dash of color at night to get dressed up but still keep it very summery.” Ricker says this look works best with khakis and a linen shirt.”

Congratulations, Ilaria & Eric 05/08/2011 by Mr. Sato

This past weekend, one of our favorite couples, Ilaria Urbinati and Eric Ray Davidson, got married.
Ilaria is stylist to some of today’s biggest male celebrities along with owning LA’s best store, Confederacy. Eric, is a photographer whose work can be seen in GQ, Details, Esquire and a bevy of other major publications.
We were honored that Eric contacted us to wear one of our ties. We or course happily obliged.
He ended up wearing the grey linen tie from The Salinger Collection, which paired perfectly with his bespoke navy blue Simon Spurr suit that Mr. Spurr made expressly for him on his special day. Simon Spurr happens to be our favorite menswear designer who we hope to someday work with.
GQ covered the wedding, where you can see all the photos HERE.

LA Times Image | Belly Up to the (Tie) Bar 04/29/2011 by Mr. Sato

On Sunday, Mr. Adam Tschorn wrote a wonderful trend piece on the resurgence of men’s accessories, particularly the tie bar. We spoke with him about our thoughts on this singular piece being the most essential to any man’s wardrobe. In our humble opinion, this is the one piece a man needs to take his outfit from forgettable to classic. It really is all in the details.
